Terms of Service

This is a plain-language draft maintained by BarberyHub. It is not a substitute for legal advice and should be reviewed by a lawyer before you rely on it in a specific jurisdiction.

1. Who we are

BarberyHub ("we", "us", "the service") is a scheduling, client-management, loyalty and AI assistance tool for barbers and their clients. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts

You need an account to book appointments or manage a barbershop. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or the legal age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher.

3. Barbers, shops and teams

Shop owners are responsible for the accuracy of services, prices, availability, promotions and staff commissions they configure. Team members act on behalf of the shop they belong to and inherit the shop's permissions.

4. Bookings and cancellations

A booking is a request between a client and a barber, facilitated by BarberyHub. We do not provide the barbering service itself. Cancellations, no-shows, refunds and rescheduling are handled directly between client and shop, subject to the shop's own policy.

5. VIP and promotions

Points, tiers and discounts are configured by each shop. Balances have no monetary value outside the shop that issued them and may be adjusted or expire according to that shop's rules.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: (a) upload unlawful, harassing or infringing content; (b) attempt to break, probe or reverse-engineer the service; (c) impersonate another person; (d) send spam or unsolicited marketing; (e) use the service to discriminate or harm others.

7. AI features

BarberyHub includes AI-assisted features (style analysis, portfolio matching). These produce probabilistic suggestions and can be wrong. Never treat AI output as professional advice — always defer to the barber's craft judgment.

8. Content ownership

You keep ownership of the content you upload (photos, notes, portfolios). You grant us a limited license to host, display and process it so we can operate the service on your behalf.

9. Free during launch

The service is currently offered free of charge. We may introduce paid plans in the future. If we do, we will notify you in advance and free accounts will continue to work within reasonable limits.

10. Warranty disclaimer

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any specific purpose.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or missed appointments. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (which, during launch, is zero).

12. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that create risk for other users.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Significant changes will be communicated in-app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
